Current Exchange projects on the horizon:
Gordonstoun, Scotland
Academia Arguello, Argentina (in bound only)
Ryde School, Isle of Wight (possible future opportunity for 2025/2026)
Our exchange partners and initiatives in the past included the following:
Gordonstoun, Scotland
Woodstock, India
Gymnasium am Deutenberg, Germany
The Oxbridge Academic Program, England
Academia Arguello, Argentina
The times and duration of the different exchange options for 2025 vary.
The Gordonstoun exchange runs during the whole of the first term. Students typically leave at the beginning of January and return at the end of March. These students therefore miss the entire first term, which is why we select academically mature students for this exchange. We are reliant on the number of exchange students Gordonstoun can send to Oakhill, as our students stay in their boarding houses. We typically send one boy and one girl on this exchange. This can however change year-on-year depending on who is interested in coming to Oakhill. The Gordonstoun exchange offers a rigorous academic and extra-curricular programme, which exposes our students to a wide range of academic subjects, sports and clubs. www.gordonstoun.org
The Argentinian exchange started in 2015, and has thus far been a "one-way" exchange, with Argentinian students from Academia Arguello in Cordoba, Argentina visiting Oakhill around September. This is also a private school and is in many ways similar to Oakhill. They will stay with host families, and will have the opportunity to travel for a few days as part of the exchange. They will be accompanied by two members of staff. More information will be communicated soon. www.aa.edu.ar
An Isle of Wight exchange is currently being explored. Following Oakhill's 30th anniversary reunion a colleague of Founding Headmaster of Oakhill, Allan Graham (who taught and retired from Ryde School), has initiated an individual exchange opportunity that is being explored at Ryde School in the Isle of Wight. As a Round Square Exchange school this direct exchange has exciting possibilities in the future. https://www.rydeschool.org.uk/
