Welcome to the

OGSD Induction Program!

OGSD's mission: "to ensure every child's potential is achieved"

A teacher is eligible for the Induction Program if he/she has a California preliminary Multiple Subject, Single Subject or Educational Specialist credential that states “To qualify for the clear credential, the holder of this document must complete a Commission-approved Induction program”. The OGSD credential analyst determines which teachers are eligible based on their credential. Admission to the Induction Program occurs in the teacher’s first year of hire, within 30 days of the start of school. The teacher is matched with a mentor according to credentials held, grade level and/or subject area, as appropriate to the participant’s employment within 30 days of admission.

Induction Vision: The Vision of Oak Grove School District’s Induction Program is to engage teachers in a meaningful experience of individualized professional growth and development by immersing in reflective work through a robust system of mentoring. The Oak Grove Induction Program strives to retain teachers and achieve educational equity by grounding their practice in ongoing cycles of inquiry focused on progression towards mastery of the CSTPs.

Induction Mission: The Oak Grove School District Induction Program Mission is to provide our students with teachers who reflect on their practice, collaborate with others, and seek opportunities to grow professionally. Teachers will engage in reflective conversations with experienced colleagues about the delivery of effective practice dedicated to increasing student learning through an equitable habit of mind.
