This year we will be using standards based grading to assess progress in math class. Directions on how to use PowerSchool to stay up to date in a standards based class, please follow these DIRECTIONS.
For reference, MCAS will assess grade level standards. To be prepared for MCAS you should be working toward level 3 or 4 mastery levels.

Practice worksheets are provided with each lesson. These worksheets are intended as a tool for students to actively study class material and check their understanding. These worksheets will not be checked, collected, or graded, but answer keys will be posted on Google Classroom and on this website.
No Single Grade
No Single Grade
The "average" grade that you see in the portal will not appear on the report card. The grades that will appear on the report card can be found under "standards". Directions for finding these grades can be found in the link at the top of the page.
Retakes
Retakes
Students are always allowed to demonstrate a higher level of mastery then they did on previous tests. The procedure for retakes is to make corrections on the test, then do some practice problems. Students can do this before or after school. The retake must be taken at least 24 hours later.
