The following stories demonstrate what CRM capability development looks like in practice: people from different backgrounds building the skills and confidence to use CRM systems effectively in real workplace settings.
For organisations, this translates into stronger internal capability, improved system adoption, and better data and reporting outcomes. It’s about helping teams get more value from the systems they already have, and supporting more consistent, connected ways of working across the business.
Lydia completed NZALI’s CRM System Administrator Micro-Credential (Level 4) as part of our 2025 fully online cohort, building practical skills through a series of interactive workshops.
Following the programme, Lydia progressed into a three-month internship working directly with the Salesforce CRM platform, where she is applying her skills in a real-world environment. Through this experience, she is supporting day-to-day system use, strengthening data practices, and contributing to more consistent CRM processes.
Lydia’s journey reflects how building CRM capability at an individual level can translate into immediate value within a team, creating a pathway from learning to meaningful contribution in the workplace.
Rebecca completed NZALI’s CRM training programme in 2024, building a strong foundation in CRM administration and best practice.
Following the programme, she successfully achieved the Salesforce Administrator Certification on her first attempt, demonstrating both her technical capability and depth of understanding.
Rebecca now works as a co-facilitator across NZALI’s Salesforce programmes, supporting other learners to build their own CRM skills. Her journey reflects how developing individual capability can quickly translate into broader team impact, strengthening knowledge sharing, confidence, and consistency across organisations.
Ana joined our programme from a non-technical role with no prior experience in CRM systems.
Through building foundational CRM capability and progressing through the Salesforce Administrator Micro-Credential and Superbadges, Ana developed the skills and confidence to work effectively within a CRM environment.
She has since transitioned into a role in the tech industry, demonstrating how structured capability development can open pathways into new roles and more digitally enabled ways of working.
At the time of joining the programme, Kevin was working as a youth worker in Australia. Motivated by the opportunity to transition into the tech industry, he made the decision to return to New Zealand and commit to building new CRM capability.
Through the programme and NZALI’s Intensive Exam Preparation Workshop, Kevin developed his Salesforce administration skills and prepared for certification. He went on to achieve his Salesforce Administrator Certification on his first attempt.
Tania’s motivations for doing this micro-credential were “to move my career into a different path, further Pasifika women in tech, and provide a pathway my younger family can follow.”
Through the CRM System Administrator Micro-Credential, Tania developed practical CRM capability and went on to achieve her Salesforce Administrator Certification. She is now working in the tech industry, applying her skills in a professional CRM environment.
