Our response to the Deloitte strategy

• Public agencies need to have a culture shift to be more accepting of digital

  • Embracing agile would help

• Public agencies need to involve citizens (the customers) in creating e-government practices

  • Utilizing open source technology

• Public agencies need to attract more competent/highly skilled workers or offer more training to current workers

  • Need to be more competitive with private sector salaries and hiring practices

• Leaders of public agencies need to embrace digital

  • set a clearly defined strategy that includes all members of the agency and is clearly explained to everyone

What we believe Japan can learn from Denmark:

• • Include local governments in digitization efforts

  • Collaborate with the private sector

    1. Digitization does not happen overnight

  • Focus on changing the culture of government offices

  • Remember the citizens needs

  • Japan has better TII than Denmark
