Spring Break Camp
Make the most of your spring break.
At Second Nature Outdoors, we make it possible for your family to be outside more, learning and playing with friends. Our spring break camps are designed to give your child a rest from the regular demands of school and reconnect to outdoor play and discovery. Camp days are structured in a way that's similar to our forest school programs. Your child's day will be filled with song, movement, observation, social interaction, and play. Pack a picnic lunch and prepare to play in the mud, take turns, hike up a hill, solve spatial problems like building a fort, and help your child become more present with themselves and the world around them. Send them back to school recharged, and full of wonder for nature and community.

Second Nature provides an opportunity for the kids to just BE in nature, exploring the outdoors and experiencing the changing of the seasons, all at their own pace in one of the most beautiful parks in NYC. When I pick up my son from Forest School he is muddy and happy and is usually carrying some treasure in his hand, a special leaf or stick that he is excited to share. I also love reading the summaries of the days events with the pictures sent after each class, we get a real window into the day’s adventures. I can’t imagine a better start for a child’s life than to be immersed in the natural world, making small discoveries in the company of genuinely caring adults.

FAQ
What activities do the campers do?
Campers take nature discovery walks that prioritize engaging respectfully with peers and surroundings. Our trained nature guides bring their skills and strengths to each camp, encouraging kids to express themselves through many mediums in an urban park setting.
