Mentorship Programs
Enhances the academic and leadership potential of incoming first-year Black, Latino, and Native American students who have been accepted into AAP by pairing them with an upper-class mentor (Big Brother or Big Sister).
The OP Peer Mentorship Program is designed to offer OP students the opportunity to create connections and relationships with current OP juniors and seniors who will act as guides for current OP first-year students and sophomores. Mentors will guid their mentees with academics, networking, and building a community both within OP and NYU. This will be done through bi-monthly meetings between mentors and mentees to help them establish guidelines for their meetings and crea an individualized plan for their mentees to help them achieve their goals academically and professionally.
Offers CAS students one-on-one mentoring with experienced, practicing attorneys who received their undergraduate degrees from CAS. Mentors provide insight into various aspects of the legal profession, offer advice on choosing law schools and careers, and, in some cases, make internship opportunities available for their students.
The CAS Student Council and the CAS Alumni Relations Office connect alumni with current students for mentoring opportunities.
NYU's Prehealth Peer Mentorship Program (PPMP) is designed to connect health professional school applicants with NYU alumni who recently navigated the admissions process. Founded in 2016 by an alum of the College of Arts and Science, the PPMP complements the advising services offered by the Preprofessional Advising Center by adding the perspective and value of young, accomplished NYU alumni.
These small, required seminars offer all first-year students an introduction to the intellectual community of the College and provide opportunities for academic mentoring.

The NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing Alumni Association Board strives to create a lifelong connection to the school from graduating students and throughout their lives as members of the alumni community. The board hosts annual events and programs and recognizes outstanding alumni for their service to the profession of nursing.
NAMN enhances students’ academic and professional experience by connecting them with alumni experts in the nursing profession. Mentors contribute to the flourishing of future nurses by serving as a key resource of practical knowledge.
Stern Accounting Society is dedicated to helping members learn about and discover opportunities within accounting. We hold informational and social events, and offer professional development, including mentorship programs, mock interviews, résumé reviews, and more!

Entering a career post-graduation can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. The MCC Mentor Program pairs MCC Seniors and MA students with MCC alumni from media, non profits, academia, the entertainment industries, cultural institutions and more. The goal? To share first-hand experience about what it’s like to apply your MCC degree out in the world—all over coffee, email, or Zoom.
Created by the Tisch Office of Career Development in partnership with the Office of Alumni Relations and the Tisch academic departments, this mentor program connects new Tisch graduates with alumni who are eager to share their wisdom and support the next generation of artists and creatives.
The WoMentorship Program matches sophomore and junior undergraduate women with upper-class women, and first-year graduate women with second-year graduate women. Mentor and mentees meet at least four times each semester and engage in social activities, academic opportunities, and career and professional development. Mentors and their mentees independently plan one-on-one meetings and activities, and attend campus events and programs together.
This Tandon initiative is a multi-year, multidisciplinary approach to learning that emphasizes project-based, innovative, research-active education. An opportunity to practice professional skills while making real-world contributions.
Run by the Center for Multicultural Education and Programs (CMEP). FOCUS is a structured mentorship program designed to offer first-year undergraduate students who identify as first-generation college students of color the opportunity to develop relationships with NYU alumni, faculty, staff, and graduate students who serve as resources and advocates through an ongoing mentor relationship.
The Wasserman Center’s professional development and mentorship program for first generation college students. Over the course of six months, undergraduate students participate in career related workshops, meet industry leaders, and connect with a professional mentor and career coach to help explore academic areas of interest, internships, and careers. The aim of the Pre-Law Mentorship Program is to pair first year and second year undergraduate students with experienced upperclassmen on the pre-law track to help provide them with personalized mentorship and insight into the law school admissions process. By building meaningful relationships between a diverse group of pre-law mentors and mentees, the Pre-Law Mentorship Program strives to help pre-law students thrive at NYU and succeed in law school admissions by helping mentees develop both academically and professionally
The goal of the Law Student Shadow Program is to help NYU upperclassmen gain insight about law school by pairing them with a law student mentor at NYU Law. By building a diverse group of mentors and mentees, ULS aims to pair mentees with law student mentors that share their interests, goals, background and personal identities. Mentees have an opportunity to gain first-hand insight about law school admissions, the law school experience and potential careers in the legal field, as well as develop a meaningful relationship with their mentor during the academic year.
PUMP (Peer Undergraduate Mentorship Program) is a CAS club that pairs first- and second-year women currently pursuing or interested in STEM majors or tracks with an upper-level woman in a similar concentration. Mentor-mentee pairs are expected to virtually meet once a month to discuss academic life, career options, and research opportunities, among other topics. There are also larger events throughout the year, including panels, webinars, and networking events.
Women in Dentistry aims to provide enormous opportunities for women dentists to network, as well as provide mentorship throughout dental school in preparation for our future careers. We believe this is a necessary and important organization not just for women, but for others as well, so the proper perspective and education can be provided to all of us here at NYUCD as we go out into our professional careers.
The Members of Delta Epsilon Mu serve the community by advocating health education and care, and through active participation in service activities, fundraising, and outreach programs. Members are given the opportunity to directly participate in health-oriented workshops and discussions, thereby attaining access to pertinent academic and career information through association with professors, advisors, career professionals, Alumni Members and fellow Active Members.
