Welcome to the 2026 OP Summer Cohort Challenge!
This 5-week experience is an opportunity for cohorts to battle it out and rack up points for an ultimate winning team.
Points: All prompts carry a certain amount of points. Each prompt will either be worth a set amount of points, or will be ranked from 1 - 12 and receive points accordingly. For example,
Set points - All teams who complete the prompt will receive a set amount of points.
Rank - Teams receive points based on ranking (1st place = 24 points, 12th place = 2 points). Submissions are judged by creativity and innovativeness.
A successful submission must include the amount of cohort members required by the prompt.

All media should be submitted to the OP Summer 2026 Cohort Challenge Google Photos album. To submit:
Upload media (photo or video) to the album.
Open the media file.
Enter the team name and prompt number in the comments section.
Teams may submit media at any time as Weekly prompts are released. All submissions must be received by Wednesday, August 5th at 12 PM. All ranked prompts will be counted at the end of the challenge!

**Design a mascot for the team and introduce team name + mascot in the All Program GroupMe Cohort Challenge topic. - Rank
PHOTO SUBMISSIONS
(Full team - photo) Take a photo in front of an NYU flag. - 10 points
(Full team - photo) Take a photo with an OP staff member. - 8 points
(10 members - photo) Take a photo in an NYU dining hall. - 5 points
(5 Members - photo) Take a photo with something representative of being a New Yorker and explain why. - 5 points
(5 Members - photo) Take a photo with members wearing NYU branded merchandise. - 3 points
VIDEO SUBMISSIONS
(Full team - video) Create a team video with each person introducing themselves and the team name. - Rank
(2 Members - video) With permission, do a TikTok-styled interview with a non-NYU person on a topic of your choice. - Rank
(1 Member - video) Take a video of one team member bowling a spare or strike. - 15 points

PHOTO SUBMISSIONS
10. (2 Members) Take a photo with a meal or snack representing the culture of one of your cohort members. - 3 points
11. (3 Members) Take a photo at a food spot where no one has eaten before. - 5 points
12. (3 Members) Take a photo with the tastiest thing you can buy for under $5. - 5 points
13. (5 Members) Take a photo in front of an ice cream truck. 10 points
VIDEO SUBMISSIONS
14. (5 Members) With permission, do an interview and tour with a deli/bodega owner. 25 points
15. (2 Members - video) Do a TikTok-styled video rating a meal. - Rank
