Policies & Expectations

Please review the Residential Life Handbook and the University Student Conduct Policy. OP Scholars adhere to additional policy guidelines, including nightly curfews and room checks. Summer Peer Leaders conduct room checks every night to ensure that the OP enforced curfew is followed by all scholars. 

Curfew | OP Students must be in their own residence rooms by:

11:00 PM from Sundays - Thursdays

12:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays

Students are permitted to adhere by the 12 AM curfew time on July 3rd.

Travel Home
Should you need to travel home on a weekend during the summer program, you will need to submit the travel home request form. Students who leave campus without an accepted request will be subject to room check policy violation processes.

Fitness on Campus

What Facilities Do You Have Access To?

• John A Paulson Center, Palladium, 404 Fitness, and The Brooklyn Campus Athletic Facilities 

  • This includes the pool but does not include athletic classes

What Are The Current Rules for The Athletic Facilities?

• Users of the athletic centers must show their NYU ID each time the person attempts to access the John A Paulson Center, Palladium, 404 Lafayette Street, or our location in Brooklyn

What About Intramural Sports?

• 5v5 Basketball Season from July 12 - August 11 @ Palladium

  • Registration is now open from June 19th at 11:00 am until July 3rd at 11:00 am.

  • You can join a team through August 11.
