Introduction:
"Hi, thank you for coming in! Today we’re working on an app for online recipes and meal prep. Our goal is to make cooking more convenient, and the app is in the early stages of development, and it’s important to remember that we’re testing the app and not you. There are no wrong answers and if you have any questions, feel free to ask though I may not be able to answer them until we’re done.
Is it ok if I record? The data will be used by our team, and your feedback will help us develop the app further and make sure the app is actually useful for people like you.
Before we begin with the prototype, can you tell me about the last time you cooked a recipe you found on social media."
Original Tasks:
Task 1: Open Link to Main Prototype (QA)
You just opened the app, upload the recipe
Task 2: Open Link to Prototype for Second Task
Find a recipe you want to make and add it to the menu
Find a suggested recipe and add it a second recipe to MyMenu
Task 3: Open Link to Main Prototype
From the home page, view your shopping list and determine what store you will go to
Updated Tasks:
You have been saving a lot of recipes you find on TikTok, but there’s so many that they get lost among the cat videos on your saved TikTok page. Instead, you’ve started uploading your recipes to this app to help you organize and plan your meals.
Find something you want to cook this week and plan your shopping

One objective for our critique is to better understand the value proposition of our application as it relates to our users’ needs, specifically increasing the variety of their meals and time efficiency when planning and cooking meals. We have adjusted our design based on this, so we want to continue exploring it during the critique. As we have adjusted the design, we have also redesigned the prototype and included different features. In our critique, we want to receive feedback from our users about the flow of our design and the overall organization of the features. We want to ensure that it is intuitive for new users, while still offering these different features.
After completing the feature board from last class, we have recently started a new outlook. We started questioning if the users are saving time when deciding on their meal prepping and cooking. We’re also concerned that we have added too many features that could confuse or overwhelm our users. For this exercise, we will ask our peers to join us in Figjam after exploring our Figma prototype. Then, on the Figjam, look through the screens of the application and add their observations and opinions on our design. We will then come together and review the critiques while asking questions we have written down for them to answer as a group.
We Invite you to test our prototype via Maze. Please click on the link below to see what our testers experienced and give your own feedback as well!
