Our final design MyMeals is a recipe organization app focused on making planning and cooking meals more convenient and time-efficient.
Recipes can be imported directly from various social media apps to have all of your recipes in one place. Recipes can also be imported via URL, file upload, copy/paste text, or manual upload.
Instead of scrolling a saved folder of pictures or videos on social media, users can search and filter recipes using personalized tags to help them find the perfect recipe for that week.
Once they find meals that they want to make that week, users add them to MyMeals. These recipes' ingredients are automatically added to the shopping list.
The Match feature allows users to generate quick meals based on the ingredients already in their shopping list to increase meal/flavor variety while reducing food waste.
The Shopping List organizes ingredients by section, making shopping a breeze. Users can also add items individually from this page.
When they're ready to shop, users can compare stores based on distance, price, or item availability to find the best option for that unique shopping trip.

Usability Testing: More than half of our participants had positive feelings regarding the Match Feature.
"It will definitely be useful. I feel that's one of the main issues having a lot of ingredients go to waste if the are not used in a timely manner. But with this feature you can actually reuse the ingredients and not go to waste."

"This was really cool! I try to do this in my head but obviously way harder and more work."
