Information for Participants

Event Location

All workshop events will be held in the Education building on the NYU Washington Square campus. See the campus map here. 

• NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development (“Education Building”)
  35 W. 4th Street, New York, NY 10012 (Entrance on W. 4th Street)

  • • Be sure to use the address above for Google maps (rather than entering the name of the building) or you'll end up at the wrong entrance.

• Registration: Enter through the doors on W. 4th Street, ride the elevator up to the 3rd floor, walk forward and then turn to your right into Room 307. 

Getting to NYU and Getting Around

• Restrooms: Located: In the basement and on the 2nd, 7th, and 8th floors. 

• Water Bottle Refill Stations: Located on the 2nd, 7th, 9th, 10th, and 11th floors.

    • Fares for most subway/bus rides are $2.90. Any credit/debit card with a contactless  symbol can be tapped for entry. See here for more info.

Campus Access & Wifi

• Campus access is limited to NYU students, faculty, and staff. Workshop participants will be registered as visitors for the duration of the event. Once your registration is confirmed, you’ll receive an email from “NYU Campus Safety” confirming your guest status. A government-issued photo ID will be required for entry into the building. Your visitor access will provide you with access to the Education Building, Pless Hall (for the reception), and Bobst Library (if you need a quiet place to work or study). 

• Wifi: Registered participants will receive an email with an “nyuguest” ID and password. Follow the instructions below to connect: 

  • 1. On your device or laptop, in the list of available wireless networks, select nyuguest; no encryption or authentication is required at this point.

    2. Open a web browser and go to any web page. The browser will be automatically redirected to the nyuguest login page.

    3. Log in with provided guest ID and password.
