Sponsored by the Office of the Dean for the Humanities, the 3rd Annual NYU Conference on Second Language Pedagogy will provide an opportunity for language instructors to highlight innovative research, share effective practices, discuss successes and challenges, and create opportunities for further collaboration.
This year’s conference theme is “Teaching Literacy and the Multiliteracies Framework for Language Teaching.” We invite proposals from faculty and graduate students for papers (20 minutes) on topics related to the theme of the conference, including
Teaching literacy in the foreign language classroom
Approaches to teaching in the Multiliteracies Framework
Project-based learning
Co-curricular programming
Social networks and language teaching
Experiential learning
Community-based/service learning
NYC as a language classroom
Online/blended classroom instruction
Proposal submission
Abstracts (250 words maximum) should be submitted online by January 24, 2020 before 11:59 p.m. EST via this form.
