Sponsored by the Office of the Dean for Humanities, the 4th Annual NYU Conference on Second Language Pedagogy will provide an opportunity for language instructors to exchange innovative research and effective practices, discuss successes and challenges of teaching world languages, and create opportunities for further collaboration. This year’s conference theme is “Diversity and Inclusion in Teaching and Learning World Languages.” We invite proposals from faculty and graduate students for papers (20 minutes) on the topics related to the theme of the conference, including (but not limited to):
Digital tools and resources, including AI
Teaching and assessment strategies for diverse learners
Addressing the ethnic/religious/cultural diversity of target language speakers.
Building intercultural competencies
Experiential and project-based learning
Community-based/service learning
Co-curricular programming and study abroad programs
Proposal submission
Abstracts ( 250 words maximum) should be submitted online by May 21, 2023 before
