B.S. in Applied Psychology | Senior
I'm a Mentor because:
Like many others, my IS! Mentor played an integral role in welcoming me to the APUG community and supporting my transition to NYU. As Club President, I hope to foster that same positive experience for new undergraduates through student advocacy, access to relevant guidance and resources, and professional development programming. I look forward to working alongside my fellow IS! Mentors with a shared commitment to helping students thrive!
I've been involved with:
Research volunteer at Mt. Sinai and the UCSF, curriculum development for the NYU Langone Psychiatry Fellowship Program, Applied Statistics tutoring, and research labs at NYU GPH!
My fave things to do in NYC:
Side questing around NYC, enjoying the sun, baking, binge-watching TV shows, and doing mixed media arts!

I'm a Mentor because:
Mentorship has played a pivotal role in my development and experience throughout college, both personally and professionally. As I enter my third year with Inside Scoop!, I aim to continue paying forward the support and guidance I received from my Inside Scoop! mentor. My mentor opened up countless opportunities for me to grow, while also serving as a friendly and familiar face as I acclimated to the pace of college life in NYC. I hope to be that same source of support for incoming students by helping them navigate their transition into the Department of Applied Psychology and connecting them with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed, both at NYU and beyond.
I've been involved with:
NYU Langone inpatient volunteer and CAMS Summer Scholar programs, the Honors program in the Department of Applied Psychology, OPUS (Online Publication of Undergraduate Studies), and a handful of research teams both within and outside of NYU, to name a few!
My fave things to do in NYC:
Watching the ballet, visiting art galleries, wandering through Greenpoint and Williamsburg, and trying every Thai resturant that catches my eye.

I'm a Mentor because:
Entering a new academic environment can be scary, especially when you're suddenly being bombarded with new faces, schedules, and responsibilities to manage. During my first year, my Peer Mentor helped alleviate a lot of my worries surrounding this new chapter in my life, so I wanted to also provide that sense of comfort and reassurance to other nervous, yet excited APUG students beginning their undergraduate studies.
I've been involved with:
NYU Brasa, NYU Steinhardt Undergraduate Student Government (USG), TEDxNYU, the Journal of Law and Medicine, NYU SAIL Lab, NYU Social Justice Lab, and Phi Alpha Delta!
My fave things to do in NYC:
Listen to music on the lawn at Washington Square Park, consume any form of pastry (my current fixation is crêpes), and wander aimlessly along St. Mark's!

I'm a Mentor because:
As an international student who moved to a completely different country with different values and a new environment, I remember how overwhelming that transition felt at first. My Peer Mentor made a big difference in my transition to NYU. I want to pass that same support down to new students entering APUG.
I've been involved with:
The CREATE Lab, various on-campus jobs such as being a Student Consultant at the Center for Teaching and Learning, Psi Chi as an E-Board Member and NYU Laya - a classical dance club!
My fave things to do in NYC:
I love to go for a walk in parks. Some of my favorites are Central Park and Madison Square Park. I also like to go and explore new cafes and study there at times.
B.S. in Applied Psychology | Junior
I'm a Mentor because:
I wanted to help new students feel welcome and supported during their first year. My mentor helped me find the right resources and gave me tips and encouragement when I was starting out, and I wanted to do the same for someone else!
I've been involved with:
Student Government, a few psychology clubs, and I’m excited to be a Welcome Week leader this semester!
My fave things to do in NYC:
I love exploring different neighborhoods, trying new food spots, and just wandering through parks like Central Park or the High Line. Museums and boba shops, like Wanpo or Molly Tea, are my go-to spots when I want to relax.

I'm a Mentor because:
I want to help new students transition into APUG and share my experiences from a student perspective to hopefully make it more relatable to them.
I've been involved with:
Psi Chi, Undergraduate Research and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
My fave things to do in NYC:
I love to eat around the city and recently I've entered my matcha era and am trying different matcha places to try to find the best matcha in the East Village. I also love shopping at 5th ave or SOHO during the holiday season even though it's extremely overstimulating.
B.S. in Applied Psych | Junior
I'm a Mentor because:
I've met so many kindhearted people in APUG who genuinely wanted to make everyone feel welcomed during their transition into college, and that meant so much to me during my First Year and I want to do the same!
My fave things to do in NYC:
To try out new food spots! NYC is a melting pot for all kinds of cuisines, pastries, and coffee. I keep a list of places pinned on Google Maps, and I like to check them off with my friends.

I'm a Mentor because:
My IS! Mentor gave me so much guidance as I started my APUG journey. I want to pay forward the support that I was given, and I look forward to being a part of a support system for new students as they make their transition into this beautiful program.
I've been involved with:
Cleftomaniacs! - the all treble NYU a cappella group! Being involved in a music club has brought so much light into my life, especially because my major is not involved with music.
My fave things to do in NYC:
I love to explore different boroughs because I feel like there is so much variety between them, and there is so much culture to learn just a quick train ride away! I also love to find cuisines that I have not tried, and try these new restaurants as a fun activity with friends!
