This group demonstrated EmotionLink, their product. EmoitionLink was a bracelet/necklace designed for people who wish to interact with people in the real world but may struggle with social anxiety. Customers would alter the products' colors to match their emotional state. Cooler hues indicated loneliness, sadness, etc. in the user. Warmer tones indicated happiness, joy, etc. for the user. The bands would link users who are experiencing the same thing in real life, encouraging real-world connections.
The connection paradox highlights the struggle between our need for real emotional connections and the numerous surface-level experiences we have today In order to solve this, EmotionLink promotes genuine connections between users, allowing them to discuss and express their feelings with one another and developing a stronger sense of community. All the user has to do is change their emotion on their bracelet or necklace and then is able to find someone who has the same feelings and connect to them.
EmotionLink makes it possible for people to feel less alone and more connected by supporting these emotional exchanges, which promotes a deeper connection that goes beyond basic surface-level conversations.
To make this product easier to use, easy customization of ones emotion without the need to change it manually could improve user experience. This could enhance user engagement by allowing for emotions to change constantly and spontaneously. Simplifying this fearure would allow users to express their emotions at a constant rate. `
