Payments are issued according to the form of payment election (i.e. Direct Deposit) you set up in PeopleSync (NYU’s HR/Payroll System) during the onboarding process. If you have not already enrolled in Direct Deposit, you can do so online by logging into NYU Home > PeopleSync > Pay Icon > Payment Elections. You can also view your check details via PeopleSync > Pay Icon > View Payslips.
Full-time faculty are paid on a monthly basis, on or around the first of the month.
Part-time faculty are paid on a semi-monthly basis, on or around the first and fifteen of the month.
Part-time faculty teaching during the Fall semester receive eight (8) semi-monthly payments as follows: Sept. 15, Oct. 1, Oct. 15, Nov. 1, Nov. 15, Dec. 1, Dec. 15, and Jan. 1
Part-time faculty teaching during the Spring semester receive eight (8) semi-monthly payments as follows: Feb. 15, March 1, March 15, April 1, April 15, May 1, May 15, and June 1
If, for any reason, you do not receive a scheduled payment or have a payment-related inquiry, please contact Gallatin’s Office of Human Resources (gallatin.hr@nyu.edu).
If you need to change your Federal tax withholding elections, you can do so by logging into NYU Home > PeopleSync > Pay Icon > Withholding Elections > Federal Elections tab. Click "Update" to make changes.
