NYU ID Cards are managed by the NYUCard Center, which has two locations:
Washington Square: The NYUCard Center is located inside the lobby on the ground floor of 7 Washington Place (at the corner of Mercer Street).
Brooklyn: The NYUCard Center is located inside of 2 MetroTech Center on the ground floor.
Contact the NYUCard Center at 212.443.2273 or at nyucard@nyu.edu.
In order to obtain your NYU ID card and netID, you will need to make an appointment with Gallatin’s Office of Human Resources (Gallatin.HR@nyu.edu) to complete the paperwork for new hires. Once you have been issued an NYU netID, you may visit the NYUCard Center at 7 Washington Place to obtain your NYU ID card.
Lost or Stolen Cards
Please report lost or stolen cards immediately to the NYUCard Center by calling (212) 443-2273 (select option 1), or in person at 7 Washington Place, ground level. After business hours, lost or stolen cards should be reported to the NYU Department of Public Safety at (212) 998-2222, or in person at 14 Washington Place.
To replace your card, please contact Gallatin’s Director of Human Resources, Christine Murray (christine.murray@nyu.edu), who will sign an authorization form for you to bring to the NYUCard Center. You will need to bring a valid form of identification (i.e. state Driver’s License, state photo ID, or passport). There is a $15 fee to replace your NYUCard, and the only forms of payment accepted are cash and campus cash. If your card is stolen and you obtain a Police Report (or incident information slip) from the Police Department, the fee can be waived. The police report must be presented at the time the new card is issued in order to be considered for a fee waiver.
Expired Cards
As long as you have a current appointment at NYU, you can visit the NYUCard Center to obtain a replacement.
