XIAOJIN "JIN" NIU (she/her/hers)
Xiaojin is a theatre artist, educator, and researcher from Jinan, China. She worked as a theatre teacher at various schools and organizations in both New York City and China. While working at these places, she was in charge of developing and teaching theatre curriculums, as well as writing and directing student performances. Xiaojin also performed in various theatre performances. Some of the NYC theatre productions she participated in include How We GLOW, The Good Soul of Szechuan, Peter and the Starcatcher. Xiaojin is currently an Ed.D. candidate in the Educational Theatre program at NYU.
QIAN "SARA" WU (she/her/hers)
Sara is a current Master's student at NYU Educational Theater, College and Communities program. She is also a theater maker, film & theater actor, and theater educator. Sara is originally from Shanghai, China, and is passionate about researching topics of international students' communities and behaviors. She believes that theater is powerful and is excited to share her artistic, social, and cultural perspectives through the platforms of educational theater.
EMILY SCHORR LESNICK (she/her/hers)
Emily is an educator, facilitator, and theatre maker living in Seattle, WA. Emily received her MA in Educational Theater from NYU Steinhardt in 2016. She is the co-creator of How We GLOW, a piece of interview theater exploring lgbtq+ youth identity that has been performed across the country and world. Emily’s work has been featured in The New York Times, The New Yorker, NBC News, Parent Map Magazine, ArtsPraxis Magazine, The Huffington Post, and NAIS Magazine and Blog.
