Alex Provo is a Research Curation Librarian at NYU Libraries. She has an MA in interdisciplinary studies from NYU, an MSLIS from Pratt Institute, and a BA in art history from Wesleyan University. At Data Services she teaches data cleaning and enrichment with OpenRefine and how to use Wikidata and Wikipedia.
Marii Nyrop is a Senior Research Data Engineer at NYU Data Services where they build maintainable systems and write teachable, open source software for research and scholarship. Their background is in minimal computing and digital humanities.
Timothy Schaffer is a Senior Educational Technology Specialist with the Arts & Science Office of Educational Technology who works primarily in support of NYU Liberal Studies faculty. He has worked on a variety of projects involving metadata management, IIIF images, ArcGIS StoryMaps, podcasting, and AR/VR. He is a certified Carpentries instructor and has experience helping students and faculty use data in courses related to humanities, arts, and cultures.
Patrick J. Burns is Associate Research Scholar, Digital Projects at NYU's Institute for the Study of the Ancient World Library working in ancient-world data processing and historical language text mining and analysis. In his role at NYU Libraries, Patrick is primarily a Python programmer and has taught classes and led workshops designed to support the ISAW/NYU community in programming-based research methods. He has also long been active in the NYUDH community and was an instructor during the 2025 JTerm FORC Camp.
Shaina Dymond is a Learning Designer with the Office of Teaching Excellence and Innovation. She has a background in academic support, advising, curriculum development, and student-centered pedagogy. She has particular interests in Universal Design for Learning and promoting motivation and metacognition.
Vicky Rampin is the Librarian for Research Data Management and Reproducibility at NYU Data Services. She is also the subject area specialist for Data Science and Computer Science in the Libraries. Vicky loves to help anyone at NYU learn to manage their research materials and make their process reproducible, regardless of field, individually or in a group. She has earned a B.S. in Computer Science and Information Technology, an M.S. in Library and Information Sciences, and an M.S. in Computer Science.
Carol Choi is the Data Reference and Collections Librarian and Liaison to NYU's Wagner School of Public Administration. She holds an MSc Built Environment: Architectural History and an MLIS. Her work at Data Services focuses on data literacy and data search and discovery.
Natiq Khan is a Master's in Data Science student at the NYU Center for Data Science. He is also the student Specialist for Python & Git at NYU Library Data Services. He did his undergrad in Management Science and currently specializes in Data Engineering, Web Scraping, and Big Data.
Fabiha Khalid is the Data Services Specialist at Dibner Library, located on NYU's Brooklyn campus. She has a premed and math background and graduated with her Master's in Computer Engineering from NYU Tandon in May 2023. She's currently focusing on outreach and engagement at Dibner, while teaching Python courses for Data Services.

Denis Rubin is a Senior Quantitative and Data Visualization Specialist at NYU Data Services. Denis holds a MS in Medical Physics, a MS in Statistics, and a Stern MBA. He supports quantitative data visualization and analysis in a variety of software packages such as Tableau, R, Python, SAS, SPSS, MATLAB, and Qualtrics

Rophence Ojiambo is a Quantitative Student Specialist at NYU Data Services. She holds a Master of Science in Biostatistics from Brown University, a Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics with Computing from Moi University, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Biostatistics at NYU School of Global Public Health. She enjoys helping students strengthen their quantitative research skills using R and Stata.
Pippi de Bree is a Quantitative Student Specialist at NYU Data Services. She is currently a master’s student in Applied Statistics for Social Science Research, with a concentration in Computational Method. At Data Services, she specializes in supporting quantitative analysis in R and Stata.
Sajid Ali is a Senior Research Software Engineer at NYU Research Technology services where he works with researchers to assist in implementing appropriate software solutions. Recently, he has led the launch of the updated GenAI service for research. He has a background in scientific software development with a PhD in Applied Physics from Northwestern.
