Much of the basis for our research comes from a paper named "DEAP: A Database for Emotion Analysis using Physiological Signals" (https://www.eecs.qmul.ac.uk/mmv/datasets/deap/doc/tac_special_issue_2011.pdf ). In the paper, the researchers recorded the brain signals of participants who watched 60-second clips of music videos. They then asked the participants to rate each video in four categories on a discrete 9-point scale, and for each video's scores, it's the average of all the participant's ratings for that video in each category. They have made their research freely available online in the form of a database of the same name (https://www.eecs.qmul.ac.uk/mmv/datasets/deap/ ). This is the database we used in our research.
