Week 2
This photograph was taken during New York Fashion Week. A performer was doing a form of performance art and making a variety of interesting facial expressions, which caught my attention and made for a compelling subject. I felt that the positioning and expressions aligned well with the golden ratio overlay, helping to strengthen the composition and draw attention to the focal point of the image. For this photograph, I chose to use a white golden ratio overlay instead of a black one to create better contrast against the darker areas of the image. I think this decision improved the overall readability of the composition and allowed the overlay to complement the photograph more effectively.
