Commitment to Service

As a certified NREMT, I transport patients to various hospitals. Continuing to learn about patient care and renewing certification are done with the support of the PGFARS team. I am able to serve my community and interact with healthcare problems that I only get to read about in class!

Organized with P&G interns food drive with United Way in Factoryville, PA. Organized 20 delivery drivers, 1 semi worth of food, a group of 30 to box food packages, and delivery to local community!

Leadership

Responsibilities include leading weekly lab sections where students gain a broad understanding of engineering topics such as digital logic, boom design, water filtration, Fusion360, energy storage, and more. I also mentor a semester long prototyping project group technically and logistically. The objective of this course is to introduce students to a broad range of engineering fields, while improving their technical writing and presentation skills. Students also must complete a group semester long design project, which require project deliverables throughout the semester and progress presentations

Newest Responsibility: Grading weekly lab reports!

I enjoy supporting students in their academic goals, learning from students, and being able to contribute to a course I enjoyed freshman year!

Academic Excellence

What impacts mouth and neck cancer pain? At Yi Ye lab, we seek to understand the neurobiological basis of oral cancer pain. The Research focused on oral cancer carcinogenesis and tumor progression. The long-term goal of her research is to develop novel therapies that target mechanisms common to both tumor progression and cancer pain.

Fabricating and researching 3D printed lattice drug delivery capsules at the NYU Abu Dhabi Ramadi Lab for Advanced Neuroengineering and Translational Medicine. Our research uses engineering to solve clinical problems and advance human health. We aim to develop new ways for to tinker with the body with greater spatial and temporal resolution to diagnose and treat disease. This work can be divided into two areas: neuroengineering and translational medicine.

Mentors: Khalil Ramadi, PhD and Hanan Mohammed, PhD

Professional Development

At P&G I was able to apply creative problem solving to a variety of projects given to me. I was able to design, implement, and lead information session about UAV and ROV framework and SharePoint for confined space and underwater inspection, equipment management, technology and training choice analysis, safety work instruction standard, UAV photogrammetry integration with Matterport. I was able to construct requirements for EWP and Capital Request Process 0-2 Year Scope Database. I planned low consistency sensor system for long fiber efficiency and recovery system health diagnostics. I managed contractors and manufacturers for UAV technology, chemical storage capacity engineering, and fiber recovery manufacturers. I was also able to  create options analysis and cost estimate for chemical capacity increase and long fiber recovery unit maintenance with contractors and technical coaches.

During my second internship, I worked at the largest P&G manufacturing site as a Project Engineering Intern.

Role Accomplished:

· Defined scope, estimated engineering, estimated construction, acquired funding, bid and awarded services and goods, and executed capital 3 safety projects and 1 cost savings project across utilities and paper process.

·       Determined cost savings and return on investment for 2 projects.

·       Aligned best value analysis results for all designs with engineering, operations,

construction, and finance. Implemented transition from existing change management

system to Veeva GCC and trained largest P&G site.

I was able to connect with a variety of industry professionals as well as fellow

 students from across the country!

I attended the 13th symposium at NYU Stern hosted by the Social Impact and Sustainability Department. This year the focus was on Agro-Food-Tech innovation. I was exposed to developments in vertical farming, synthetic proteins, ethical and transparent supply chain systems, and more.
