As graduate students at NYU Brooklyn, our team noticed a disconnect between the different programs at the Brooklyn campus and the collaboration opportunities for interdisciplinary projects. During the research phase, we discovered that NYU Brooklyn graduate students need to build relationships with students in other departments through student initiated events that are convenient for those who attend. If the intervention is successful, students will learn from and collaborate with the students they meet at these events- coordinating on interdisciplinary, cross-departmental projects that help them explore their passions and future career path.
