Fourth- Year Tourism Management students brought ideas to life through a Gallery Walk as part of this yearโs Tourism Month 2026 celebration, centered on the theme โDigital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism.โ
From digital solutions to AI-powered possibilities, the gallery highlights how technology can open new ways of promoting destinations, improving tourist experiences, and shaping the future of the tourism industry. More than a display of photographs and concepts, the activity reflects how todayโs tourism students envision a more innovative and connected tourism landscape.
The activity was organized by the Events and Activities Committee of the Student Tourism Ambassadors (STA).
Third-year Tourism Management students gained hands-on experience during their five-day Practicum 1 at OMNI Aviation Cabin Crew Training School in Clark, Pampanga.
The training allowed them to learn more about cabin crew operations through practical activities, helping them prepare for future careers in the tourism and aviation industries.
The College of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (CIHTM) held a two-day training on the โFilipino Brand of Service Excellenceโ in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT) on March 13 and 16.
The training was led by DOT-accredited trainer Ena Domingo and attended by first- and second-year tourism students. It aimed to help students improve their skills in providing high-quality service while highlighting Filipino values.
The program teaches the importance of Filipino hospitality, such as being warm, respectful, and community-oriented. Students joined interactive activities like discussions, role-playing, and real-life scenarios to better understand how to serve guests properly and professionally.
The successful training highlights CIHTMโs commitment to developing students who are not only skilled but also proud of Filipino culture and values.
Seven fourth-year CIHTM students joined excursions in Japan and Taiwan as part of their International Cruise Learning Immersion Program aboard the Costa Serena.
During the trip, the students explored Miyakojima in Japan and visited several destinations in Taiwan, including Keelung, Ximen, and Kaohsiung. The excursions gave them the opportunity to experience different cultures, tourist attractions, and local environments.
The activity also allowed the students to gain firsthand knowledge of international tourism and cruise operations. Through this experience, they were able to strengthen their understanding of the tourism and hospitality industry while learning beyond the classroom.
