The Google Meet app should be on the student iPads. If not, they can install from the portal. Also, Google Meet works online without the app as well.
They should be logged into it already with their school account. Occasionally, we see kids who have this turned off and get an error message when trying to join a Google Meet.
Here is how to direct a student to make sure they are logged in to their Google Meet app:
Open Google Meet app
Tap on the icon for the person
3. Choose Sign In
4. Be sure to toggle the school account to ON
