Why Take Expeditions?

The learning that occurs during expeditions is an opportunity to draw learners deeply and authentically into their learning. Students build a foundation for understanding that is grounded in real world experiences and reinforced by interpersonal and emotional elements to create personal connections to what is being learned. Allowing learners the freedom to explore the world outside of the classroom broadens opportunities for them to have experiences that will shape their lives, their futures, and their communities.
