Who should be a student reviewer?
If you said yes to those questions, you should become a student reviewer!
What are the perks?
What is the timeline for reviewing a book?
Each review cycle is approximately two months. First, students select a book from those provided by ROYAL(Reviewers of Young Adult Literature). In the next six weeks, students read the book and write a review. Students submit the review to me by the deadline and make revisions based on feedback if necessary. Last and most important, we meet for lunch to discuss the books.
What is the group’s purpose?
The books that we review come from a group called ROYAL (Reviewers of Young Adult Literature). Publishers provide ROYAL with recently or soon to be published books, and these books are free to the library in exchange for a timely and honest review. The reviews that students write are shared with the ROYAL group and emailed to the publisher.
What kinds of books are reviewed?
All kinds! Take a look at our Review Blog to get an idea.
What is the format / content of the review?
You can see lots of reviews on the Student Book Review Blog and you can check out the Student Reviewer Guidelines to see more about how to write a good review.
