Beginning in the Spring of 2024 the HS STEAM Lab is the home of the K3NWL amateur radio station!!
Thanks to generous funding by the Northwestern Lehigh Education Foundation, we were able to add amateur radio and wireless technology to the STEAM Lab!!
Mr. Smoyer (KC3QLX) and students in the STEAM Lab began setting up our station in the Spring of 2024. It has been a long process of researching, budgeting, ordering, and setting up the equipment to get our station on the air.
We are hopeful to be fully on the air in the 24-25 school year and training students to work the station.
Our identity on the air is K3NWL (Kilo Three November Whiskey Lima) and we are excited to reach the Northwestern Lehigh STEAM Lab out to the world!!
Never heard of Amateur or "Ham" Radio, check out some information here!!
