Sign up sheets are due by September 5th. You can find the form below. Lessons and in-school rehearsals will BEGIN SEPTEMBER 8th!! After school rehearsals will begin September 22nd.
Lesson Procedure:
Lesson Schedule will be available via email, hand copies, homeroom, google classroom, posted around the school, and announced in the morning announcements.
Students will be placed in a lesson group that aligns with their grade level and instrumentation.
Students are responsible to check their schedule daily and show up for their lesson. Each student is given one lesson per week in a five day rotation.
If a student misses a lesson or cannot make a lesson, a lesson makeup pass will be given out.
Ensemble Auditions:
Auditions for Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble are due September 12th. Students are required to submit an audition via Google Classroom.
Tiger Period Rehearsals:
Monday – Wind Ensemble
Tuesday – Chorus Sectionals/Jazz Band
Wednesday – Concert Band
Thursday – Chorus Sectionals
Friday – Symphonic Band
After School Rehearsals: 2:30-3:45pm (We will work around other extracurriculars, sports, and activities)
Monday - Concert Band
Tuesday – Full Chorus Rehearsals (every week)/ Jazz Band (every other week until the concert)
Wednesday - Symphonic Band
Thursday – Wind Ensemble
Materials: Students are not required to purchase method books and will be provided during lessons.
6th Grade- Standard of Excellence Book 1
7th Grade- Tradition of Excellence Book 2
8th Grade- Tradition of Excellence Book 2-3
Percussion- 5 minute Drill book by Ralph Hicks
