Slime Science

Thank you for coming to the 2022 Safe Trick or Treat at Northwestern Lehigh High School!

To finish your slime:

Play with it!

Your slime will still be sticky when you remove it from the bag.

Playing with your slime by squishing it together and rolling it in your hand finishes the reaction.

Glue is made up of long molecules called polymers.

Before the reaction these long strands can "slide" past each other.

Starch is a "cross linking agent." It causes the polymers to become stuck together

After the reaction the long strands are bundled together creating a large slimy blob.
