25-26 8th Grade registration for 9th grade timeline:
1/27: Mrs. smith will meet with students interested in attending LCTI in 9th grade and hand out paper applications for students to fill out and get parent signatures (For more Info; see below)
2/11 & 2/12: LCTI Applicants meet with Mrs. Smith to assist in the online LCTI application process (Must bring Paper application to session) (for more info; see below)
2/17: Mrs. Smith's HS scheduling lessons – Team Visionaries - students will receive their elective course selection sheets at this time.
2/18: Mrs. Smith's HS scheduling lessons – Team Lynx - students will receive their elective course selection sheets at this time.
3/9 & 3/10: - Individual Student Scheduling Sessions with HS Guidance Counselors - students should bring their elective course selection sheets with them to the session

LCTI Information:
On 1/5/26, LCTI (Lehigh Career and Technical Institute send out information regarding enrollment in their programs for the 26-27 school year. Mrs. Smith, the 8th grade school counselor, will be sending out a Google Form for students to fill out to let her know that they are interested in going to LCTI on 1/7/26. After that, Mrs. Smith will be meeting with the students that are interested in LCTI on 1/21/26 to discuss the application process and give the students paper copies of the application to fill out. This way the students know what information they need to have for the online application process. She will also be talking to students about what essential skills they need to have to be successful at LCTI because of the nature of the school as well as giving them a rubric to follow for the essay they must write for the application. After that, she will meet with the students one more time on 2/11/26 to walk them through the process of the online application to ensure they successfully complete it and submit it at that time. For this session, students should bring the paper application they filled out to assist them with the information they will be putting into LCTI’s system. Please know that the due date for applications at LCTI for first consideration for attending LCTI is 3/1/26. If there are any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Smith at smithm@nwlehighsd.org.
