March 28, 2026 - The Northwest Wind Ensemble became the first high school ensemble to open for the Canton Symphony Orchestra. They performed Sea Songs by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Goddess of Fire by Steven Reineke, and Cloudburst by Eric Whitacre. Pieces programed by Kate Ritter, Northwest Band Student and future music educator. 

The Northwest Symphonic performed at Hoover HS earning an excellent rating. The band was conducted by Mr. Liam Bacon as Mr. Imler was on paternity leave. 

December 5, 2025 - The Northwest Symphonic Band shared a joint concert with the Kent State University Wind Ensemble. The ensemble performed Two British Folk Songs by Elliot Del Borgo, Air From County Derry by Joseph Kreines, and English Folk Song Suite by Ralph Vaughan Williams. This concert marked the first time the Symphonic band has performed "class A" music in concert in over a decade.

The Northwest Symphonic and Select Wind Ensemble performed at Lake HS on Saturday March 14. They represented their school and community well in their performance and earned an excellent rating!

The Northwest Symphonic performed at EJ Thomas Hall on Monday February 24th at the University of Akron Band Clinic. This year the ensemble had the opportunity to play at the concert as well!

The Northwest Symphonic and Select Wind Ensemble performed at Lake HS on Saturday March 16. They represented their school and community well in their performance!
