Portraiture

This project was a fun project, but it took a little longer to complete due to the fact that both of us couldn't take pictures at the same time, essentially decreases out time to take photos in half. Even though we had half the time, taking pictures wasn't really hard, the problem was thinking of the right poses and looks for the person in the picture to do. If I were to do this project next time, I would choose someone who is taking photos of me, that way we know when one of can take photos and when the other should.

This picture has a really good way of showing off framing. It also has a unique look where he is going in the opposite direction of the tree, making a leading lines from all corners to the center where he is.

In this picture the background is blurred out, which really makes the foreground stick out a lot. The little light reflecting off his glasses also makes you focus towards his face. His face also fits in really well in the top thirds of the picture.

Despite having a lot of dead space in this photo, there is a reason it has it to show that he is in a certain pose on bench. There is a rule of thirds that shows his head in the top right third of the picture and a sort of horizon line with his arm that also leads the eye to the right of the photo.
