Many fans around the world displayed dissatisfaction with the 'Stranger Things' finale. After the episode aired on Dec. 31, 2025, fans suspect Matt and Ross Duffer rushed it.
Articles prove that after scanning the 'Stranger Things' script, there was, in fact, AI throughout most of the finale's script.
“It was so rushed; if you look, ChatGPT wrote the script, and it was barely even finished by the creators. I feel like they could've produced a better ending overall for the fans, and I think the suggestions on endings from the fans are better than what was in the finale episode,” ninth grader and long-time 'Stranger Things' follower Scarlett Valdez argues.
More fans say the finale was missing parts of the story that could have been in there, and were disappointed with the results.
“On a disappointment scale, I would give it a five-tenths. There were some parts that were dragged on, and some parts were missing. Like, where were the Demodogs, Bats, and Demogorgons during the final fight? There could've been more added to it to make it more interesting,” 18-year-old and four-year-fan Davin Delgado states.
More fans disliked the movie, claiming that most of it didn't make sense, and many were left clueless about some things.
“My least favorite part about this finale was that there were a ton of plot holes that left me stumped on what was going on. It didn't really make sense whatsoever, and it was really hard to understand. It was AI slop and inconsistent,” major fan Destiny Mohr furiously states.
Furthermore, fans are unsatisfied with the finale episode script and are furious with the lack of effort.
“All that I know is that even though I really love this show, with this final episode, they completely ruined how good the show was," Destiny Mohr says. That alone ruined it for me and honestly disappointed me.”
