That’s Just a Theory, the “Final” Theory

After 13 years of hard work making theories for millions of people to enjoy, Matpat is retiring from Youtube. He is taking a step back to focus on his family. He was a part of so many people's childhoods, so while many people are happy for him; they can't help but be a little upset. 

“I'm a little upset about it” Karissa Jade Fugate, a junior, states “I wasn't an active or like super fan of his but I am upset that I'll no longer see his face when watching theory videos”

Many people feel the same way as Miss Fugate about Matpat leaving Youtube. While there is much sadness in his leaving; there are many who understand why he is leaving. Kayla Del Rosario and many others respect his choice. 

“It's sad he’s retiring,” Miss Rosario, the senior, starts, “but I do respect it as he has a family now and he wants to be happy and live his life to the fullest.” 

Most people are sad but respectful about Matpat’s retirement. However his retirement has brought up a whole new can of worms for some. Jacqueline Ramos Victoriano, a junior, points out how this shows her how old she is now.

 “It was heartwarming to know that he acknowledged and sees the importance of family seeing as how he has a son and realizes how his work is imparting his personal life,” Jacqueline Ramos Victoriano, a junior, states, “I never realized just how much of an impact he had on me as a child and it is more a less a wake-up call realizing how long ago those times were.”
