Amazon Prime Video’s show, ‘Invincible’ has just wrapped up its third season. Based on a comic, it follows the adventures of a new superhero Mark Grayson, known by the public as Invincible. But when Mark’s dad Omni-man turns out to be from an evil alien race, Invincible is forced to confront him in a battle.
Even though Invincible loses the fight, Omni-man cannot bring himself to finish it and ultimately flees from the planet. The show thereafter deals with Mark and how he deals with all the past events, on top of his new superhero responsibilities.
“My favorite character is Omni-Man,” Jacob Bradshaw states. “He has a lot of depth to him, and that plot twist with him being evil was crazy.”
Beginning in early 2021, the first season saw overwhelming success by its finale. The second season, however, saw some drama; Because the first season was received so well, there was a lot of pressure on the release date for season two. By the second season, some viewers noticed an objective decrease in animation quality due to the heightened pressure. Some fans aren’t bothered by the new animation style, but others find it not up to their standards.
“I think they should slow down a bit,” Jordan Valle, a new ‘Invincible’ fan, claims. “They should just make it a little bit higher quality.”
Despite the drama, Invincible returned for season 3 and faced overwhelming success. The final two episodes, in particular, had a lot of hype surrounding them. Invincible faces alternate-universe, evil versions of himself, and a surprise encounter from Conquest – an alien from the same planet as Omni-Man and arguably of similar strength. Because of that, Invincible beats him by the skin of his teeth.
“It’s probably the best animated episode I’ve seen all year,” Calvin Diaz asserts. “It’s like you could feel the punches through the screen.”
