The drinks that taste like autumn have already arrived, bringing teens flashbacks to holiday cheer and cherished moments. The pumpkin spice fills the students' tongues with each sip they take, as they quickly discuss their favorite stores to get their plaid button-ups and haunted movies that bring them back to their imagination.
LAS VEGAS — As Pumpkin Spice season kicks off in early fall at school, many students suddenly dive into fall trends, wearing autumn clothes and ordering seasonal drinks even when the weather is still hot.
Surprisingly, South CTA students have already brought out fan-favorite accessories like Uggs and rose gold bracelets, warm sweaters, and fall leaf colors. It has caught parents, teachers, and relatives' attention that students have begun dressing and acting like fall has fully arrived because places like Starbucks release fall menus and the start of September already feels like autumn. Maya Lipschultz, a business and finance student, announced that she begins wearing fall outfits at the end of August and buys them from stores such as SHEIN, Hollister, PacSun, and H&M. She keeps the pumpkin spirit going by simply wearing the outfits and staying positive. Madalinne Stoehr agreed that the clothes look cute and trendy.
It’s clear that students dive into fall trends early.
Lipschultz announced, “I feel like drink places start releasing their fall menus and September just… gives off like fall.”
Her go-to drink is “Pumpkin Chai”. To continue, she keeps the spirit by “just wearing my outfits and being positive.” Stoehr added that everyone dresses the same “because it’s cute, and trendy.” Starbucks and stores push the season hard, and students follow to fit in.
Weather often clashes with the style. Lipschultz explained how hot weather makes jeans and long sleeves “harder to wear” and “I don’t like it at all”, she confirmed. Stoehr made it clear that she won’t start in mid-September “because it’s too hot”.
Ultimately, it is clear that in many teens' minds around the world, pumpkin spice season is more than just a drink or a sweater. It is the moment when students decide fall has begun with aesthetics, trends, habits, and even nostalgic movies that bring the magic and imagination back to life. Whether they are already living in UGG’s and plaid or still waiting for the temperature to drop, one thing is for sure: when the leaves start to turn, so do the students.
