Tesla’s Manufacturing Development Program is designed to provide graduating high school seniors with the financial resources, coursework and experience they need to start a successful manufacturing career at Tesla. Must be willing to relocate to the Reno, NV area to complete the program which consists of 4 weeks of coursework and 2,000 hours of on-the-job training. Upon completion, official graduates will earn a Production Operator Certification. At the end of each school year, Tesla typically holds an informational meeting for graduating seniors in Las Vegas regarding this Manufacturing Development Program. SNBTU represents approximately 20,000 construction workers across 19 unions and supports 19 apprenticeship programs in Southern Nevada. Some of the apprenticeship programs include Bricklayers & Tile Setters, Electrical Workers, Ironworkers,Carpenters, Plumbers & Pipefitters, Sheet Metal Workers, Painters & Drywall, etc. Visit the website and click the “Careers & Training” tab then Affiliate Apprenticeship Programs for a full list and links to each option.
The Electrical JATC of Southern Nevada has been training skilled apprentice electricians since 1947. Apprentices get 900 hours of classroom training and over 8,000 hours of on the job training over a four/five year period. The Sound & Communications (Installer/Technician) is 4 years and the Inside Wireman is a 5 year program. All electrical apprentices receive incremental raises as they reach certain set milestones throughout their program. Being a carpenter means more than just working with wood. Carpenters help build and finish all types of projects, from smaller projects built with wood to large structures built with concrete. Carpenters can specialize in many crafts that give them skills and knowledge necessary to become a master carpenter who can tackle any job.
