Hello! My name is Tonya Carmichael-Feller. I have been a licensed Special Education K-12 teacher for Clark County School District for 15 years. As a highly qualified teacher in English, I teach English at Foothill High School in Nevada. Teaching is my second career and I chose Special Education due to the high demand for Special Education teachers. I dedicated my teaching career to “All Students Can Learn.”

My education has been a lifelong process that included acquiring dual master’s degrees in Masters of Management Administration from University of Phoenix and Masters of Education in Special Education from University of Las Vegas. A graduate of Touro University of Nevada, Advanced Studies Teacher Leadership and Advanced Studies of Technology. I have attended numerous seminars and courses in conjunction with my professional teaching responsibilities. Throughout my teaching career, I have been fortunate to be the recipient of various educational grants, of which Foothill High School has received $19,850 in grant monies to support our students with special needs.

“Family First," is another cherished value! We have a tradition of saving our holiday present money and going on family cruises every two-years to build unforgettable family memories with my husband, daughter, son in-law, and four fabulous grandchildren! We have traveled throughout the world, but our favorites are the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Next stop Alaska or Italy!

As a Special Education teacher and Case Manager I will continue to seek out opportunities to advocate for “ALL” students to achieve both academic/social education success throughout the Clark County School District and Foothill High School.
