This assignment wasn't that hard, I wound find an idea of what I wanted the photo to look like then, I would just try to make it closest to that version that I had. I enjoyed playing with the settings of the photos a lot being that I had some that would change the photo drastically, some softly, and they were also some settings that seemed to do nothing because you changed other settings. Finding and navigating through the many possible changes was fun and exciting, allowing me to take a normal photo that seemed dull and boring turning it into one where you can feel the picture.
I first started and realized this photo was too bright so I lowered the lighting significantly. Then I thought the photo was too bold so I make the photo black and white at first I thought about putting color increase but with that it just made the photo seem 2D and I ended up with a picture not fit for this assignment so i took out he black and white and increased the lighting to create the finished masterpiece.
In this photo I desired the emphasis to be on the light. First, I made the photo darker then inside the light settings I make the shadows brighter since there was too much black space, increasing the contrast. After I moved down to the selective color tool to make the background brown pop up more then to truly put the picture together I increased the color in the photo.
For this photo , I was told that the emphasis was on the tree so I decided to make that bolder by increasing the color then i lowered the light making the shadows pop out more making you focus on the volume filled tree and increasing the look of the background to provide depth to this photo.
