Small Problems
These are problems that you can solve yourself. Small problems tend to make you feel annoyed. Examples of small problems would be:
Someone making noise while working.
Name calling
Not sharing a toy
Cutting in line
Not wanting to be friends
Making faces
Big Problems
These are problems that you need to talk to an adult to in order to solve the problem. Big problems bring strong feelings. Examples of big problems would be:
Playing with matches
Throwing rocks
Someone is hurt (bleeding) or not getting up.
Stealing from someone
Being bullied
Where is my problem coming from?
Clay Problems
These are problems that you own. The problem has happened because of something that you did. This type of problem you can change the problem itself. Examples of clay problems would be:
Not doing your homework
Getting bad grades
Chores not being done when they are supposed to be.
Procrastinating
Rock Problems
These are problems that are owned by someone else. Someone else is causing the problem. This type of problem cannot be changed, so you must change how you deal with the problem. Examples of rock problems would be:
Being bullied
Someone being noisy when you are trying to concentrate.
Parents separation or divorce
Grief/loss
Making faces at you.
