our Social Workers

mS. Junior, MSW, LSW

6th Grade (A-L) & 7th Grade

My name is Esther Junior and I am the School Social Worker for Sedway Middle School. I have over 20 years’ experience working with youth, victims of domestic violence, hospice, Department of Welfare & Supportive Services, and individuals with disabilities. I have a master’s degree from the University of South Carolina and licensed through the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Social Workers. This is my 9th year as a member of the Wraparound Services team where we offer voluntary support services to aid students, their families, and teachers in meeting the needs of your student to ensure school success.

Our hope is that through our supportive services, your son/daughter will be able to work toward reaching his/her potential, socially, academically, and emotionally. Our services are voluntary and can only be offered with your permission. Please know I’d be honored to partner with you to help your student achieve more success in school.

6th Grade (M-Z) & 8th Grade

My name is Camille Owens and I am the School Social Worker for Sedway Middle School. I have over eight years of experience working as an educator, including Early Outreach at UNLV and as a 7th grade math teacher at Sedway MS. I would encourage my math students to be "powerful beyond measure" by adopting a growth mindset, and I hope to be able to further instill the mindset outside of the classroom. In my new role, I hope to leverage my insights as a teacher to positively impact students and their families.

This is my first year as a member of the Wraparound Services team. I am enthusiastic to start my career as a School Social Worker. I became a Licensed Social Worker in 2018, and a licensed therapist in 2021.

Like Ms. Junior, I am honored to partner with you to help students achieve more success in school.
