Welcome to the Saville Middle School Library! I am proud to serve as your school librarian and to support our students’ growth as readers, thinkers, and lifelong learners. As a product of the Clark County School District and a graduate of Centennial High School (2002), I went on to earn my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from UNLV in 2005 and began my career as a sixth-grade reading teacher at Mike O’Callaghan Middle School. I later returned to UNLV to earn a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Literacy in 2010. Since joining Saville in 2013, I have served as a sixth-grade ELA teacher, a behavior strategist, and now as librarian. Along the way, I earned endorsements in English Language Acquisition and Development and School Library Media. I am passionate about promoting literacy, fostering a love of reading, and ensuring all students have access to diverse and equitable texts that inspire and empower them.
