I am the new School/ Community Liaison. Born and Raised in Brooklyn, New York. I was in the Army for 10 Years and moved to Vegas in 2004. I have 3 children that have graduated from CCSD, and have worked in a Special School for 15 Years.
I am the administrative clerk for the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program. I have been with SRTS for more than three years and have worked alongside of and with SRTS since 2013. Among my responsibilities are tracking SRTS data and creating visualizations, making it accessible for SRTS participants and partners to view.
I enjoy running, walking, and cycling outdoors, so being a part of a program that encourages youths to become more active while educating them on safety is rewarding for me.

Hello, my name is Barb Notareschi. I am originnaly from Ohio. I am the Safe Routes to School Bike Liaison. I have been with Safe Routes for a year and a half and with the school district for over eight years. My job at Safe Routes is to educate students, parents, schools and community leaders of the importance of improving the health and well-being of children by enabling and encouraging them to walk and bike to school, and to do so safely. My job is not only gratifying, it’s also so much fun!!
I am honored to be the new Safe Routes to School Coordinator! I have been serving in the field of education for over 21 years. During this time, I have been a special education teacher and most recently an assistant principal.
On a personal note, I was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. I received my BS and MA at the University of Arizona... Go Cats! I am an outdoor enthusiast and enjoy backpacking, kayaking, walking my dog, and cycling. I am the president of an all woman's cycling team, Colavita Las Vegas. In addition, I am also the president of the Henderson Bicycle Advisory Board and Vice President of the River Mountain Loop Trail Committee.
As the Safe Routes to School coordinator, I am passionate about helping to keep our students and families safe. Let's continue to work together helping to end bike/ped fatalities!
