1. Who is eligible to participate?

• All CCSD students from grades 6 through 12 currently enrolled in a Chinese language program at CCSD.

• Students studying Chinese in an after-school setting or with private tutors are NOT eligible.

2.  How are winners selected?

• A panel of experienced CCSD Chinese language teachers will review video submissions based on the Judging Criteria.

• Application deadline: April 25, 2025 (11:59 PM).

• Winners announced: May 2025

• Heritage and World Language Learners will be judged in separate categories.

4. Can teachers, parents, and friends help with speech preparation?

• Contestants should prepare their own speech with minimal guidance.

• Students must fully understand and own their content.

5. Can participants submit student work and GUIDELINES?

• Yes! Students can submit optional student work in video form showcasing their knowledge of Chinese language and culture (e.g., Art, Design, Instrumental Music, Singing, Dancing, Cooking, Martial Arts, Project work, etc.).

• Student Work submissions will NOT affect speech competition scores.

6. How can students submit their student work?

7.  Students who submit a speech video will be eligible for selection to represent Nevada in person at the San Francisco Chinese Bridge Competition in June 2025. The 2025 Chinese Bridge Competition winners will win a free trip to China in the Summer of 2025 to compete in the international Chinese Bridge Competition.

   • 母语学习者和非母语学习者将分开评审。

6. 老师、家长和朋友可以帮助学生准备演讲吗？

   • 参赛者应独立完成演讲，尽量减少外界指导。

   • 学生必须完全理解并掌握自己的演讲内容。

7. 可以提交才艺表演视频吗？

   • 可以！ 学生可以提交展示中国文化相关才艺的视频（如美术、设计、器乐、歌唱、舞蹈等）。

   • 才艺视频不会影响演讲比赛的评分。

8. 如何提交才艺表演视频？
