Welcome to English 11 Honors. In this class, we'll work on mastering the language skills of reading, writing, speaking, and listening, and we'll do this through a course focus on American Literature. In this class, we'll read a variety of American Literature covering from the pre-colonial era all the way to contemporary literary movements. The main questions we'll be asking are "What does it mean to be an American?", "How has the American experience changed over time?", and "How do different people and cultures interact with the American experience?". Our texts will include both classic and contemporary literature, as well as seminal and current informational texts, coming from authors of a wide variety of backgrounds, movements, and experiences.
On this page, you'll find a variety of tools to assist you through the year, including a calendar for assignments, resources for study, and places to complete and turn-in your online assignments.
