Congratulations to the LHS Chamber Choir “Viva Voce” for receiving Superior Ratings in Performance and Sight-Singing at the CCSD Advanced Choir Festival held at LVA on April 9th.   It has been an interesting & busy few weeks for Liberty Choir, and we are very proud of these singers for their hard work!

Liberty High School Show Choir Takes the Stage with Legendary Band Foreigner at The Venetian Theater

On Saturday, March 23, 2024, the Liberty High School Show Choir had the incredible opportunity to perform alongside the legendary band Foreigner at The Venetian Theater

The collaboration between Liberty High School's talented choir and Foreigner was a remarkable experience for all involved. The choir delivered a stellar performance, adding their own flair to the band's iconic song.


Mark your calendars for the upcoming performance by the Patriot Stars on March 30th, 2024, adding to the vibrant musical scene at Liberty High School.

The Liberty High School Show Choir has been invited to sing “I Want To Know What Love Is” once again at the Venetian with the band Foreigner.

The LEGENDARY, Grammy-Nominated band Foreigner, with hits like “Cold as Ice,” “Urgent,” and “Waiting For a Girl Like You,” is calling our city “home” for a few months. Starting in March, the band will be playing at The Venetian Las Vegas for a months-long residency!

Local Radio station 96.3 KKLZ went looking for local high school choirs to join Foreigner during their performance of “I Want to Know What Love Is,” and Liberty High School Choir was chosen again for 2 nights, March 23rd, & March 30th. 

Not only will they be performing, but our Choir Department will also receive a $500 stipend for both nights, giving us a total of $1000!!

They will be performing on March 23rd & 30th, 2023.

Congrats to the LHS Choirs - Vocѐ Harmonique and Cantarѐ for receiving Superior Ratings at the Basic Academy Choir Festival held on Saturday, March 2, 2024.  Both groups received Superior Ratings for Performance and Sight-Singing Criteria Reference Skills.

Congratulations to the following Liberty HS Choir Students for being selected for the 2024 American Choral Directors Association All-State Choir: Seniors: Malia Folau, Aidan Hernandez, and Juniors: Harmony Close & Adrian Golab Special shout out to Malia Folau for being selected as the Section Leader for Alto One. She received the highest vocal audition score of her section in the state. They will perform in April with other Choir students from across the state selected from rigorous auditions held last week. Way to go Patriot Choir students!

The Liberty High School Chamber Choir “Viva Voce” under the direction of Lamont Russell, was one of the featured choirs at the American Choral Directors Association Fall Conference on November 4, 2023. The conference was held at Del Sol Academy of the Performing Arts and the Keynote Musician was Professor John Byun from Riverside City College. They were joined by accompanist Laurence Sobel, and Guest flutist Dr. Tracy Hunsaker. Way to go Patriot Singers!

The Liberty High School Show Choir was the featured entertainment for the National HLTH Convention on October 8 & 9, 2023. This talented group of singers and dancers performed two one-hour shows each day for some of the over 10,000 attendees at one of healthcare's preeminent all-inclusive events of the year at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

KTNV Centennial Subaru Academic Athlete of the Month!

Liberty High School Choir Student Melvin Whitehead was selected for the Centennial Subaru Academic Athlete of the Month!


Nominated by LHS Choir Teacher, Mr. Russell, Melvin was selected not only for his excellence in sports, but also for his academic achievements.

The Liberty High School Show Choir “Patriot Stars” performed at Del Webb Middle School on Monday, February 27, 2023.


 Del Webb Choir Teacher Jennifer Lowry invited the Patriot Stars ahead of Advanced Choir Auditions to show the kids on what the process and groups are like.
