Monochrome Images

This assignment is by far the most laid back besides the other ones which encourages us to go out and shoot. I'm glad that this assignment allowed me to sit at my computer and edit the photos that I took. It's pretty cool to mess around with the editing tools to change the way an image looks.

In the photo with color you can't really pinpoint the shoe because of the multiple colors in the background. With this photo you can't really see the texture of the shoe which doesn't bring out the focal point.

The shoes in black and white really brings all the colors together and brings out the texture in the shoe and the photo overall. The black and white photo looks way better because it gets rid of the unnecessary colors. You can really see how dirty the shoe is and all its flaws.

This photo I took way back of my buddy's Toyota Hilux seems to look bold with color. You can't really see all the detail in the rust on the car. Once I made it black and white you can really see the texture of his ride and gives the picture of a more old school back in the day kind of look. The glare from the light in the back kind of gets your attention in the colored photo but in comparison to the black and white one it sort of disappears and grabs your attention to the truck.

This photo in color doesn't really pop out the texture and there seems to be a sun ray that makes the photo look like the metal figure is blurry. The shoe on the upper left side is distracting because it does not match the color of the metal structure.

The black and white photo really brings out the welds on the metal structure. It also eliminates the distraction of the shoe because everything is close to the same color.
