CSI Elementary School

J.L. Bowler Elementary was designated as a Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) school in the 2017-2018 school year.

A school designated as CSI must work with their Local Education Association to develop a plan to exit the CSI designation within three years. The plan must be approved by Nevada Department of Education. The school is evaluated for exit at the end of this three year period.

Stakeholder Presentation

Progressive Discipline Policy

Our philosophy is that no student will stop a teacher from teaching or another student from learning. Students are held responsible for their actions. Required Parent Conferences are mandatory if a student is in a fight.

The teacher implements classroom management procedures.

If a student is struggling, a behavior contract  is put in place.

The Administration will deal with these situations: chronic or severe problems.  Parents will be contacted at this point.

Attendance Policy

School starts at 9:05. Please have your child(ren) on time as instruction starts promptly. Excessive tardiness takes away from vital instruction

Safe Voice

Students, parents and faculty throughout Nevada now have access to SafeVoice, an anonymous reporting system used to report threats to the safety or well-being of students. SafeVoice was established by the Nevada Department of Education under SB 212 in 2017 to protect student wellness, prevent violence and save lives.
